This page provides an overview of my service and outreach activities.

Academic Reviewing

As a researcher, I believe in the importance of giving back to the academic community. This is why I have been actively involved in the review process for various conferences and journals. More specifically I was an Associated Chair (AC) for the ACM CHI 2026 and the ACM Mensch und Computer (MuC) 2025. Overall, my contributions include:

Volunteering and Organization

Beyond my reviewing activities, I have been involved in community services, event organization, and other research activities. These include:
  • Contributed to proposal writing for ScaDS.AI projects and DFG single projects
  • Co-Organization of the German Pre-CHI 2023
  • Elected member of the student council of the computer science faculty of the Dresden University of Technology from 2013 to 2017
  • Co-Organization of the ESE ("Erstsemestereinführung"; freshmen week) at the computer science faculty of the Dresden University from 2013 to 2017. Specifically organizing the breakfast for around 300 - 400 freshmen.

Teaching Experience

At the Dresden University of Technology, I have been involved in teaching various courses. My contributions include:
  • Seminar Interactive Multimedia Technologies (2018-2022, 2024/2025)
  • Web- and Multimedia Engineering (2023/2024)
  • Exercise Data Visualization (2022/2023) and Advanced User Interfaces (2024)
  • Supervision of over 15 student team projects
